Wälzung

Wälzung was being developed in close collaboration with the two violinists Hannah Weirich and Sara Cubarsi and MUSIKFABRIK. We explored the sonic universe of the electric violin with the glory of exquisites sounds from the Mooger Fooger Ringmodulation pedal, the Whammy-Bar, Cry Baby and some other goodies.

"Wälzung" refers to the slow, ongoing cycles of rock formation, transformation, destruction, and reformation over vast stretches of geological time.

As humans, we are reminded that we too, remain trapped in recurring cycles of decay—and, regrettably, violence—constantly facing the need to begin anew.
